'Stressed' Adele walks
out of BRITs after
party moments after
arriving
The Hello singer reportedly turned on her heel
shortly after arriving at the star-studded bash
in London.
'Stressed-out' Adele reportedly walked out of
a BRITs after-party moments after arriving,
telling pals : "I don't want to do this."
The Hello singer scooped a record four awards
at the bash on Wednesday night but didn't
stick around to celebrate.
According to reports, she turned on her heel
shortly after arriving at the Sony Music event
at The Arts Club in Mayfair.
An onlooker told the Daily Star: "She looked
really stressed out. She looked upset like it
was all too much for her."
Another party-goer told the Evening Standard:
"I was in the entrance hall when Adele walked
in. She looked really stressed out.
"There were quite a few people around her
and she just turned around and said, 'I don't
want to do this, I'm going to go home,' and
walked out.
"It was so fast it happened in just a few
seconds. She looked upset more than
anything, like it was all too much for her.
Earlier in the night the 27-year-old had a
triumphant evening where she was honoured
with the Global Success and solo female
prizes, as well as having her single Hello and
album 25 recognised .
Adele, who is notoriously private, has
previously spoken about nerves and stage
fright.
After debuting her comeback single Hello on
the X Factor , she said: "I don't think I could
go thought that again. I feel like I'm
auditioning."
The singer used Wednesday's ceremony as a
chance to speak up in support of Kesha , who
was told last week by a court she wouldn’t be
released from a recording contract with Sony
and producer Dr Luke.
Clutching her first award of the night, Adele
finished her speech by saying: “I’d like to take
this moment to publicly support Kesha.”
US star Kesha has accused the producer of
“sexually, physically, verbally and emotionally”
abusing her - claims she denies.
