RAPPER KID CUDI CHECKS INTO REHAB OVER DRUGS, DEPRESSION
The hip-hop star revealed he wasn’t “at peace” in a message
posted on his Facebook page on Tuesday night, apologizing to fans for hiding
his issues.
“I am not at peace. I haven’t been since you’ve known me,”
the “Erase Me” hit maker wrote. “If I didn’t come here, I would’ve done something
to myself. I simply am a damaged human swimming in a pool of emotions everyday
of my life.
“There’s a ragin’ violent storm inside of my heart at all
times. Idk (I don’t know) what peace feels like. Idk how to relax. My anxiety
and depression have ruled my life for as long as I can remember and I never
leave the house because of it. I can’t make new friends because of it. I don’t
trust anyone because of it and Im tired of being held back in my life.
“I deserve to have peace. I deserve to be happy and smiling.”
Cudi did not disclose where he was seeking treatment.
He has promised to return to the spotlight with a new album
and assured fans that if all goes well, he’ll be out in time for the ComplexCon
festival at Long Beach in November.
“Love and light to everyone who has love for me and I am
sorry if I let anyone down,” he added. “I really am sorry. Ill be back,
stronger, better. Reborn. I feel like s**t, I feel so ashamed. I’m sorry.”
